It was during her candidature she experimented with scents out of hours and discovered the scientific mystery of perfumes with her partner. Many mainstream tea perfumes have a rather extrapolated representation of what a “tea” aroma is, using other notes to replicate the smell of tea. That’s where Chasing Scents is different – they use actual tea extracts to create realistic and true tea fragrances. Tinctures and soxhlet extractions of dried whole flower buds and loose tea leaves are performed over multiple cycles under strict conditions to obtain aromatic concentrates that smell good enough to drink.
