Aluminium Cylinder head Skim | Skimming | Refacing | Machining service | Head gasket failure – Farnham This is a fixed price listing for a skim on a Aluminium 4 pot cylinder head   Drop off your cylinder head if you are local to Farnham (GU10) and as long as it is serviceable it will have the minimum amount of material possible removed from the cylinder face.   Prices £60.00 for a skim on any 4 cylinder head Machined by PCD Flycutter  Cylinder head to be skimmed needs to be clean of any oil stripped ready to machine or a stripdown charge will be chargeable I.e no manifolds/bolt on housing, camshafts, rockers, followers etc.  Diesel injectors and glow plugs MUST be removed before dropping head off. Some petrol and diesel cylinder heads however also need the valves removing as well. Although most petrol cylinder heads the valves may be left in and just camshafts removed.   —————————————————————   We can also reface 5 cylinder and some 6 cylinder straight six heads (please contact for prices) Single cylinder motorcycle, Jetski or light agricultural cylinder heads can also be machined. –————————————————————– How do I pay?  Cash or Credit / Debit card on collection (full receipt will be given). Usual turnaround is 24 – 48hrs but all depends on workload, it is not uncommon to have a lot of cylinder heads in for repair or be very busy with online orders.
